While I was on my way to take Jacob to bed, he was fussing and just generally crabby (he's sick), and I passed by Audrey, who said, "Ugh, I wish we had a baby that would listen!" Ok...
Then after he was in bed, I passed by Jeromy who was teaching the girls some stretches. Kierra called out, "Mommy, that one made me bal-er-anced!" Cute kid.
And the other day when the neighbor's cat threatened to come inside, the girls starting shrieking, "No, no! You can't come in! Our Mommy is allergic!!! NOO!!" To which I replied, "It's not the end of the world if he comes into our house for a second." To which they replied, "What's the end of the world?" Uh, um, is it worth a big explanation to a 4-year-old? Hmmm.
And in the car the other day, out of the blue, Audrey started to tell us a story that her teacher told her. (I was thinking preschool, not Primary, and fairy tale, not scripture). She said, "One day there was a boy that was mean and didn't have a body. He wanted to take all the kids with him instead of with Jesus. And he got in trouble. And guess what, Mom? The story is still happening!" So maybe she can understand it all.
